A grief-stricken news.
I was still dismayed by the fire at Cameron House. I was in disbelief when I heard the news. It was just three weeks after our trip to Loch Lomond. Due to the fire, the main hotel is currently closed but the guests are still able to access to Spa at Cameron House, The Carrick Golf Course, The Wee Demon Golf Course, The Claret Jug, The Boat House and the Marina.
I hope Cameron House Hotel will be able to reopen soon as it is indeed a great hotel with ideal location. We enjoyed the greatest hospitality offered by the hotel during the stay. I love the setting of its hotel room. It has elegant traditional furnishings, with luxurious cotton linens, vintage wardrobes and contemporary bathroom. Our room is facing the lake which offers a spectacular view.

At night, we dined in Cameron Grill Restaurant at Cameron House. The Cameron Grill restaurant is at the heart of the hotel. We were very lucky for being able to watch the firework over the dinner as there was a wedding at the hotel. Many couples celebrated their anniversary in this very candlelit atmosphere. The hotel didn’t forget to surprise its guest with complimentary dessert after their dinner.
Waking up at Loch Lomond was a mixture of fantasy and realism. Considering we only met twice a year, a morning stroll along the banks after our breakfast was a luxury for us. We passed by a seaplane in front of the hotel reception. Apparently, you could enjoy a bird’s- eye view of Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park by taking a seaplane tour.
We didn’t book the seaplane trip but I think it would be a very cool experience to be able to see the lochs and mountains from the sky. There are different packages for the seaplane trip i.e. Discovery flights and Explorer flights. You can write to the hotel to find out the price and other details for the trip.
